My Son's 2nd Birthday: Outfit of the Night

I wasn't planning to blog this but I thought I'd show a few pics of yesterday, including the dress I wore for my little boy's 2nd birthday yesterday.  Unfortunately, they're not the greatest outfit pics as, like I said, I wasn't planning on blogging this.  But I think the dress is really cute so thought I'd show you.

I didn't bother wearing shoes as I was just in my garden.  I think I'm a bit of a hippie as I could quite happily never wear shoes again!  I'm more than comfortable walking around barefoot most of the time.

But I really do love this dress.  But it does make me feel a bit like a ghost in it.  I don't know, it's the sort of thing I imagine in a film where you see a ghost all dressed in white.  My mum told me I look like I belong on Little House on the Prairie!

We all had a fabulous day yesterday, my son was spoilt rotten and we had a little BBQ for him in the evening.  I'm sure this dress will be reappearing on my blog soon so there will be better pics but it was a real bargain! x

Saturday Outfit of the Day/Night: Zara BARGAINS!!! #zarasale AND New YouTube Video: Summer Sale Fashion Haul

My niece had a little party for her 12th birthday.  It was only family but this is what I wore (plus a few pics of me and my boys!).

Zara Crop Top - £3.99 (sale)
Zara Stripey Shorts - £9.99 (sale)
Next Sandals - £30.00

So I got the top and shorts from the Zara sale.  So pleased with both of them and absolute bargains!!!  I also had a cardigan which I was taking on and off throughout the evening (but didn't make it to any pictures) but it was also in the Zara sale for about £15.  It's such great quality.  I'm sure it'll be something I live in so will probably be shown on here numerous times.  I can't find any of the links for the Zara things (including the cardigan!) but I did only get them on Thursday so they should still be around.

I also filmed a haul video earlier in the week which I've uploaded today and you can check out here.  A lot of it is sale things that I've picked up, but there's also some non-sale stuff.

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Friday's Zara Outfit of the Night

Yesterday was a busy day.  I went to the hairdressers at 1pm and then straight into London for drinks after.  My hair looks so bright but it's fine cos I know that it'll tone down after a couple of washes.

I was meeting friends for drinks.  So many people blew out last minute so it only ended up being a few of us but we had the best night!  I just managed to get my last train and ended up getting home at about 1am.  That is seriously late for me these days!  God knows how I used to go out partying all night!  I'm definitely feeling a little worse for wear today but definitely not as bad as I thought considering how much wine we drank!!!

Zara crop vest top (similar here, just a different colour) - £5.99 (sale)
Zara floral trousers (from their last sale)
River Island Blazer (old)
Next sandals - £30.00

I just wore this as I didn't want to be too dressed up (which I never seem to do these days), plus we were only going for drinks at probably one of the cheapest pubs in London.  I got the crop vest from Zara.  I wasn't sure whether to get it or not as I do have other white crop vest tops but I'm so glad I did.  It was only £5.99 (I've linked it above but I can't find the white one).  The trousers I got from Zara's last sale and the shoes I got earlier this week.  I saw them on another blog and fell in love with them, although I definitely think there's a slight granny vibe to them.  Still love them though and they are really comfortable.

So that was last night's outfit post.  I'm desperate to go back to bed for an hour!  But I can't until my kids have their nap which isn't for another 2 hours *yawn*!

Have a great weekend! x

Friday's Outfit of the Night: Drinks with the Girls #OOTN #WIWT #Zara #Missguided #RiverIsland

Yesterday,  I went for drinks with the girls.  We went to the Oyster Shed in London and it was fab.  It was a lovely warm evening so we sat outside.  I had a lovely couple of Pimms & Lemonade before hitting the wine!

I wore this lovely playsuit that I got from Missguided.  It's in this lovely silky material - I think they say it's faux parachute silk on the website.  And it has a lovely cross over back, which means you either need to go braless or wear a strapless.  When you have more than a handful up top (as I do!), strapless bra is definitely needed.

Primark Sandals

I absolutely adore this jacket from Zara.  It was expensive but it is going to get so much use.  The only problem is when you wear as much make-up and fake tan as I do, it probably isn't very practical, especially with it being dry-clean only.  But then I still bung it in the washing machine (oops!).

The bag is also perfect for me.  I never travel light so I can fit everything in that I need on a night out.

I probably should have worn heels with this outfit but, if you go out in London, you'll probably be aware that you are lucky if you get a seat so we generally end up standing for most of the night - although we did get lucky yesterday.  Plus I just love flats.

These were the shoes I was going to wear but I think I'll probably save these for extra special occasions and maybe ones where less alcohol and more sitting than standing is involved.  They are absolutely beautiful but so high!

So all in all, I had a fab night, although I left early as I had to go to my friend's launch day of her softplay which I find challenging enough on a normal day.  With a hangover, I think it would have been hell!  So I felt ok this morning.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend, especially if you are in the UK where we are having lovely weather at the moment! x

Oh also, just to mention I had my hair extensions in which I think I will do a separate post on.  I LOVE them!

Weekend Catch-up, including Outfit of the Night and Outfit of the Day

So I've had a bit of a busy, but fun, weekend.  Friday night, I caught up with some friends.  We just went to some local bars and I got home at a reasonably respectable 1am.  Saying that, that's late for me!!!

This is the outfit I wore.

Zara Playsuit - £29.99
Primark Jacket - £17.00
Forever 21 shoes (old)
Primark Necklace - £3.00
Oasis Bag (old)

I am absolutely in love with this outfit.  The jacket is amazing.  I love the colours.  And the playsuit is gorgeous, just not very practical when you're out drinking your body weight in alcohol but I survived!  I think the last Vodka & Red Bull done me in so I was hanging on Saturday.  The only thing I added to this look was some false lashes before I went out.  I actually managed to put them on and they stayed on for once!!!  Nothing worse than half way through the night and you notice one of your lashes is hanging off!  They were only Primark ones as well so I was amazed how well they did.

So, as I said, Saturday I was hungover so I just sat in the garden and didn't do much at all.

Today, being Mother's Day, I spent it with my boys.  My mum popped round earlier and then we went to see my mother-in-law in the evening.  Followed it off with a lovely takeaway and am now relaxing with a glass of wine!

This is today's outfit.

Zara Top - £25.99
Primark Jeans - £10.00
Converse (old)

So that was my weekend.  It's been a really good one and the weather has been so nice!  I can't wait for the summer.  I hope it's a good one x

From day to night. Two outfits, visiting a friend and dinner with the girls #OOTD #OOTN #NewLook #RiverIsland #TopShop

Yesterday was a bit of a busy day.  In fact, I've had a bit of a busy week.  Yesterday, I took my boys to see my friend and her son.  Was lovely to see them play together.  I think my youngest just wanted some peace and quiet though, but he's still only a baby.  4 months old.  This week has been a bit hectic. I've been out twice in the evenings.  I remember when that used to be a quiet week, now I'm feeling exhausted!

So this was yesterday's outfit of the day.

Topshop Jamie Jeans - £40.00
Topshop cut out asymmetric tunic/top (via ebay)
River Island cut out boots - £40.00
Primark scarf
Ebay camouflage cardigan (old but similar here)

So after visiting my friend, I then came home and getting ready when you have 2 young children who don't sleep at the same time is difficult.  My husband was running late home from work so my sister baby sat for a while.

In the evening, I went for dinner with the girls.  It was a lovely evening and not too much of a late one. This was my outfit.  Can you tell how much I love this jacket?!  I feel like I wear it almost every day!

River Island shirt (men's section) - £25.00 (on sale for £20.00 at the moment)
River Island leather look trousers - £35.00
Primark shoes - £12.00
New Look jacket - £34.99

I've been looking for the perfect white shirt for ages now but can never see anything so, in River Island, I thought I'd take a trip over to the men's side and found this.  It's extra small and fits perfectly.  I love it (even if I have spilt nail varnish remover down it and the stain doesn't want to budge!).

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.  I'm going to spend it recovering from my busy week x
