Had such a bad night's sleep last night. Couldn't get to sleep, then I finally managed to go off but my son woke me up at 4am. Then I had to be up early as I was meeting my friend and her little girl at the local softplay. So feeling a little bit knackered and wanted something comfortable as well. Trousers are a must at softplay anyway unless you want to risk flashing your underwear!

I forgot I had these leggings. I bought them years and years ago. I absolutely love them but with these particular ones - I imagine it's probably the same with all velvet leggings - you can't get away with buying the wrong size. There's not a lot of stretch to them. And they can wrinkle around the knees. But I still love them!
I also thought I'd show you my new piercing!
Not normally one for piercings these days, I'm much more of a tattoo kinda gal but I fancied something different. I have 3 piercings on each ear lobe which I've had for god knows how many years, but I've only recently started using the second hole again. The third hole is still there but I don't wear anything in it. I had my second piercing done when I was really, really young, I think about 9 or 10, and stopped wearing earrings in that hole at about 14. Amazingly the hole is still there. I also had my belly button pierced when I was 16 but I took the bar out when I fell pregnant with my first child a few years back and haven't bothered putting it back in since. Plus, I'm not even sure they're still "in" anymore. They always remind me of Britney Spears in her Baby One More Time video.
I did originally want my rook done but there wasn't enough room, which I suspected anyway, so I went for my conch on my left ear. I was going to go for the right ear, just because I do have my helix pierced on that side, which I had done when I was about 16. I haven't worn any form of jewellery in that piercing for years though but the hole is still there. BUT then I was thinking about the pain after. I generally sleep on my right hand side and boy am I glad I didn't get my right ear done! I had this done about 3 weeks ago and it still really hurts to lay on it. It hurts as much now as it did the day I got it. I literally have to fold the pillow around my ear if I do want to lay on that side. I looked online and some people have said it can be like this for up to a year!!!
Anyway, I'm not loving the bar that's in it at the moment as it's far too long and I want to get something prettier but I have to wait at least a month to six weeks (that's what the piercer told me). There'd be no chance of me changing this at the moment anyway as it really does still hurt but as soon as it feels a little less sore, I think I'm going to look into changing to a smaller bar which hopefully might be a little more comfortable.
Pain-wise in relation to having the actual piercing done, hmmmm... it hurt but it's over in a flash. First she clamps your ear, then she puts a needle through to pierce the ear which I think contains a tube. Something like that, I couldn't really see what she was doing. That bit did really hurt but I think the worst bit was possibly when she was putting the bar in. It was all over so quickly so, if you are thinking of getting it done, just remember that it is only a few seconds of pain. It's the pain afterwards that's the worst part! But I've decided that I'd actually quite like to get a triple forward helix piercing done. They look amazingly pretty. But I'm gonna wait this one out a bit.
So not a quick post by any means but that's an outfit of the day post, as well a piercing update. Also, if you follow me on my
