New YouTube Video: May Favourites | Hair, Beauty & Fashion

I don't think I've done a YouTube video for a while.  Just struggle for time sometimes.  My 6 month old is starting to get on the move now so I need eyes in the back of my head with him and my almost-2-year-old tearing the place apart!

So I thought I'd do my May Favourites which features some hair, beauty and fashion bits.  You can check it out here or by clicking the video below.

Featured in my favourites are my new clip-in hair extensions which I love, although I'm now not sure if I prefer my hair long or short - but I guess with these, at least I have the choice!  Maybe I've reached that age where long hair no longer suits me?!!!

Anyway, hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.  I had a lovely one.  I went for drinks with my friends on Friday night, Saturday I recovered from Friday, Sunday we went to a couple of farms and on Monday, we went to Southend.  Now the weather is awful and I'm now wondering how I used to fill boring days like this!

Wednesday's Outfit of the Day: Missguided Stripey Dress

I had no idea what the weather was up to today.  It was warm but cloudy, then sunny, then it looked like it was going to rain.  So I threw on this dress that I got from Missguided.

Topshop Georgy Geek Shoes
Topshop Necklace
Primark Earrings

This dress is really oversized.  It's in that scuba-type fabric.  I bought it in S/M but it was still huge so just bear that in mind if you are small-framed and want to get this dress.  I've had it in the tumble dryer a good few times to get the size down a bit... and it definitely seems to have worked.  I just can't pull off the over-sized look.  It always reminds me of being a little girl dressing up in my mum's clothes!

The shoes are from Topshop and I have a bit of a love hate thing going on with them.  I love how they look but, my god, do they hurt! I've worn them countless times, with thick socks around the house as well, but they still hurt. I could be fighting a losing battle on this one.  It's just around the ankles.  They're alright for the first half hour which tricks me into thinking I've finally cracked it, only to be in agony when I go out!  So when I wear these, a pair of flip flops will always come with me!

Oh and my hair... I've got my extensions in.  I always get bored with my hair.  I get it long, then cut it off, then I want to grow it again but then cut it off!  Plus I put my hair through so much crap that it always needs a good cut.  So I bought these extensions from hairtrade.com.  I may do a separate post about these because they are definitely the best ones I've bought - and I've tried quite a lot!

Friday's Outfit of the Night: Drinks with the Girls #OOTN #WIWT #Zara #Missguided #RiverIsland

Yesterday,  I went for drinks with the girls.  We went to the Oyster Shed in London and it was fab.  It was a lovely warm evening so we sat outside.  I had a lovely couple of Pimms & Lemonade before hitting the wine!

I wore this lovely playsuit that I got from Missguided.  It's in this lovely silky material - I think they say it's faux parachute silk on the website.  And it has a lovely cross over back, which means you either need to go braless or wear a strapless.  When you have more than a handful up top (as I do!), strapless bra is definitely needed.

Primark Sandals

I absolutely adore this jacket from Zara.  It was expensive but it is going to get so much use.  The only problem is when you wear as much make-up and fake tan as I do, it probably isn't very practical, especially with it being dry-clean only.  But then I still bung it in the washing machine (oops!).

The bag is also perfect for me.  I never travel light so I can fit everything in that I need on a night out.

I probably should have worn heels with this outfit but, if you go out in London, you'll probably be aware that you are lucky if you get a seat so we generally end up standing for most of the night - although we did get lucky yesterday.  Plus I just love flats.

These were the shoes I was going to wear but I think I'll probably save these for extra special occasions and maybe ones where less alcohol and more sitting than standing is involved.  They are absolutely beautiful but so high!

So all in all, I had a fab night, although I left early as I had to go to my friend's launch day of her softplay which I find challenging enough on a normal day.  With a hangover, I think it would have been hell!  So I felt ok this morning.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend, especially if you are in the UK where we are having lovely weather at the moment! x

Oh also, just to mention I had my hair extensions in which I think I will do a separate post on.  I LOVE them!

Thursday's Outfit of the Day: Zara Lace Trim Shorts + New YouTube Lookbook

Such a busy, busy week but here's today outfit which is a nice summery one seeing as the weather has perked up again.

H&M Top (old)
Primark Sandals

The top is really old.  I got it a few years ago in the H&M sale but it's still one of my favourites and it was only £3!!!  I love these shorts.  I'd been after them for absolutely ages and finally decided to buy them before they stopped selling them.  They are a little see-through though!  But perfect for summer, see-through or not!

I also did a huge summer lookbook over on my youtube channel which you can check out here

I'm off out tomorrow night for drinks so I'm hoping if I'm ready in enough time that I can do an Outfit of the Night post x

Sunday's Spring/Summer Outfit of the Day: Topshop Scarf Print Shorts #OOTD #WIWT #Topshop

I have been after these shorts for ages but just can never get them in my size!  I ordered them from the Topshop website which went through, only to get an email the next day to tell me that the order had been cancelled as they didn't have that size in stock!  So I looked in the Topshop at Bluewater and Lakeside with no luck.  The annoying thing was I had tried on my size in the Bluewater Topshop but my son was playing up so I didn't buy them.  I finally found them 130 miles away in Great Yarmouth on my little trip!

H&M Shirt
Primark Sandals
Topshop Necklace

I'm so glad that I finally managed to get these shorts.  They are perfect for dressing up or dressing down.  I love them!

Another sunny day here.  Yay!  So I'm once again going to enjoy the sun (after we got to B&Q!).  Hope you are all having a good Bank Holiday Weekend x

Saturday's Outfit of the Day: Summer Smart #OOTD #WIWT

So yesterday I got back from a couple of days in Great Yarmouth with my family.  I think the weather was better there than here in London but not by much!  We had such fun although I have got yet another cold and lost my voice completely on the second day.  My husband said I sounded like Marge Simpson!!!  I actually think I sound more like her today!  Now it's back home to the usual daily chores!  At least it's sunny though!

Primark Shoes, Shorts & Bag
Armani Watch

How nice is this watch?!  It's my husband's that I've pinched off him for today.  He is obsessed with watches and I just love the chunkiness of a man's watch :-)

These shorts are from Primark.  They were about £10 which I think is a bargain.  They look so much more expensive than that.  They also do the matching jacket but I just didn't really like it.  Typical when they also had my size in that as well!  I can never seem to find a Primark that does matching sets in the same size!

Anyway, I'm off out to enjoy the sunshine now!  Hope you all have a good one x
