YouTube Video: Back to Work Lookbook || 7 Looks

So now I'm back at work, I thought I'd do a lookbook showing the kind of outfits I wear.  I filmed this a few weeks back and I think any bare leg looks would definitely have a pair of tights added now that it's turned much colder!

You can check out the video here.

I only work 2 days a week so the majority of my time is spent dressing pretty casual so my workdays make a nice change to my usual looks!

New YouTube Video || How I style: Leather Trousers

My god, I haven't posted for absolutely ages!!!

I've started a new job and had lots of shit happen (not relating to my job) but all sorted now and I managed to film this video today, which you can check out here.

I've been looking for a new pair of leather-look skinny jeans/trousers for a while now.  I have some from River Island which I did love but I hate how they go baggy around the knee!  Well, bring on the Boohoo ones!  They are the best pair I think I've ever owned.  They're so comfortable, they don't make that creaky noise when you walk, I just love them.  And they're high waisted.  Only problem with them is that the zip doesn't seem to like to stay up!!!  So I may get the zip changed.

All links to everything I'm wearing can be found on my youtube channel.  Apologies for the quality of these images, they're screen shots.

Anyway, hope you're having a good week.  I'm hoping to get an Office/Back to Work Lookbook up on my YouTube Channel by the weekend as well :-)

New YouTube Video: Fashion Haul - Zara, Topshop, River Island, H&M, Primark and more

I meant to post this the other day but I forgot!  I've been shopping AGAIN so I just thought I'd share with you what I got.  I've also put in clips of me wearing each item.  You can check out the video here.

Most of the things I've bought have been from the sale.  Oh and in case you do watch the video and wonder if I got the job I mentioned, I did!  I start in mid-August so some fab news for me!

Have a good weekend! x

Christening Outfit of the Day: Zara, Topshop, Zara!

Today, I went to my nephew's Christening

This is what I started out wearing.  The dress is from Zara and I got it in their sale for just £12.99.  I couldn't believe how cheap it was (I did a haul recently and it features on that, which you can check out here).  It has a zip across the middle so you can unzip it to make it look a bit more like a two piece.

It was quite really warm today, overcast but still hot!  So I deliberately took another outfit for if I did get too hot, which I did!  My god, I was so hot in the service.  The Christening was part of the Sunday morning church service so we were there for about 90 minutes.  Afterwards, we headed to a local pub for the party and I switched into this.

Zara Shorts - £9.99 (sale)
Topshop Top - £38.00
New Look Shoes - Now £12.00!

I got quite a few compliments on this second outfit.  I love it.  And it is something you could wear casual as well if you just changed the shoes xx

My Son's 2nd Birthday: Outfit of the Night

I wasn't planning to blog this but I thought I'd show a few pics of yesterday, including the dress I wore for my little boy's 2nd birthday yesterday.  Unfortunately, they're not the greatest outfit pics as, like I said, I wasn't planning on blogging this.  But I think the dress is really cute so thought I'd show you.

I didn't bother wearing shoes as I was just in my garden.  I think I'm a bit of a hippie as I could quite happily never wear shoes again!  I'm more than comfortable walking around barefoot most of the time.

But I really do love this dress.  But it does make me feel a bit like a ghost in it.  I don't know, it's the sort of thing I imagine in a film where you see a ghost all dressed in white.  My mum told me I look like I belong on Little House on the Prairie!

We all had a fabulous day yesterday, my son was spoilt rotten and we had a little BBQ for him in the evening.  I'm sure this dress will be reappearing on my blog soon so there will be better pics but it was a real bargain! x

Saturday Outfit of the Day/Night: Zara BARGAINS!!! #zarasale AND New YouTube Video: Summer Sale Fashion Haul

My niece had a little party for her 12th birthday.  It was only family but this is what I wore (plus a few pics of me and my boys!).

Zara Crop Top - £3.99 (sale)
Zara Stripey Shorts - £9.99 (sale)
Next Sandals - £30.00

So I got the top and shorts from the Zara sale.  So pleased with both of them and absolute bargains!!!  I also had a cardigan which I was taking on and off throughout the evening (but didn't make it to any pictures) but it was also in the Zara sale for about £15.  It's such great quality.  I'm sure it'll be something I live in so will probably be shown on here numerous times.  I can't find any of the links for the Zara things (including the cardigan!) but I did only get them on Thursday so they should still be around.

I also filmed a haul video earlier in the week which I've uploaded today and you can check out here.  A lot of it is sale things that I've picked up, but there's also some non-sale stuff.

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Wednesday's Outfit of the Day: Boyfriend Jeans

I went shopping yesterday and Primark had some amazing stuff.  I always find it hit or miss in there.  You either come out with loads, or come out with nothing.  If you don't want to spend any money, I find it's best to get yourself a basket on the way in.  Without fail, every time I do this, I never buy anything so end up walking round with a big empty clunky basket!

Primark Boyfriend Jeans - £13.00
Zara Crop Vest (again, can't find the link but other colours here) - £5.99
eBay Kimono - £3.96(!!)
Primark Flower Belt - £5.00(!!!!!)
Next Sandals - £30.00
Primark Bangles and Necklace

So anyway, yesterday I bought these boyfriend jeans.  They are quite oversized so I went down a size and bought a 6.  My usual size generally ranges from an 8 to 10, depending on the shop (and how much I've been eating!!).  I really love these.  I used to have a pair from River Island back in about 2003 when I think they were in last time round but god only knows what I've done with those.  They were only £13 though so quite cheap, although possibly not that cheap for Primark.

I also got this amazing belt for just £5!!  I couldn't believe how cheap that was and was convinced it was a mistake so snapped it up before they changed their minds!  The kimono is also another big hit with me.  I got it from eBay (from a Chinese seller, it's brand new) and I have a feeling it may have originally been from Zara and just re-labelled.  Well either way, I'm not bothered because I love it.  You can dress it up, dress it down.  It's just a beautiful and very versatile piece.

So anyway, happy hump day.  Only 2 more days until the weekend and just a week to go until my son turns two!!! x

New YouTube Video: Outfits of the weekend #OOTW

I was planning to do a haul video but I like to include clip of me wearing the items so it generally takes a long time to film and edit.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I've had a bit of a busy week with my son having an operation and now just trying to get him back to normal so I just did a quick outfits of the weekend post.  You can check out the video here.

It's only very short so if you have a couple of minutes, I'd love it if you checked it out!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  I've just been doing family things, nothing particularly exciting x

Outfit of the Day: Back to basics

Today is such a beautiful day.  It's so hot and not a cloud in the sky!  I need to be at the beach!

Primark Shorts, Belt & Necklace

This is pretty much the same outfit as I wore to the pub on Friday night, except that I' have shorts on rather than my floral trousers.

These are the kind of things I live in in this weather.  It's so easy just to throw on yet still looks effortlessly stylish!

Hope you are all having a good week.  I've had a pretty crappy one.  My soon-to-be 2 year old had to have an operation yesterday (nothing serious) so we were at the hospital for 10 friggin hours!  Then they didn't even give us the medication that he needed so I had to go back and collect that today!  Not a good week but at least the sun is shining (which was pretty irrelevant yesterday as I was at the hospital all day!) x

New YouTube video: The £20 Outfit Challenge - 3 outfits, all under £20!

I've seen a few of these videos doing the rounds on YouTube, mainly the $20 outfit challenge.  I saw Becca Rose do this video so I thought I'd also give it a go and you can check it out here.

It's not the hardest thing to do when you have a Primark nearby but not everything is from there.  So if you have 5 minutes to spare, go give it a watch :) xxx

Friday's Zara Outfit of the Night

Yesterday was a busy day.  I went to the hairdressers at 1pm and then straight into London for drinks after.  My hair looks so bright but it's fine cos I know that it'll tone down after a couple of washes.

I was meeting friends for drinks.  So many people blew out last minute so it only ended up being a few of us but we had the best night!  I just managed to get my last train and ended up getting home at about 1am.  That is seriously late for me these days!  God knows how I used to go out partying all night!  I'm definitely feeling a little worse for wear today but definitely not as bad as I thought considering how much wine we drank!!!

Zara crop vest top (similar here, just a different colour) - £5.99 (sale)
Zara floral trousers (from their last sale)
River Island Blazer (old)
Next sandals - £30.00

I just wore this as I didn't want to be too dressed up (which I never seem to do these days), plus we were only going for drinks at probably one of the cheapest pubs in London.  I got the crop vest from Zara.  I wasn't sure whether to get it or not as I do have other white crop vest tops but I'm so glad I did.  It was only £5.99 (I've linked it above but I can't find the white one).  The trousers I got from Zara's last sale and the shoes I got earlier this week.  I saw them on another blog and fell in love with them, although I definitely think there's a slight granny vibe to them.  Still love them though and they are really comfortable.

So that was last night's outfit post.  I'm desperate to go back to bed for an hour!  But I can't until my kids have their nap which isn't for another 2 hours *yawn*!

Have a great weekend! x

Outfit of the Day & New Conch Piercing

Had such a bad night's sleep last night.  Couldn't get to sleep, then I finally managed to go off but my son woke me up at 4am.  Then I had to be up early as I was meeting my friend and her little girl at the local softplay.  So feeling a little bit knackered and wanted something comfortable as well.  Trousers are a must at softplay anyway unless you want to risk flashing your underwear!

Primark Vest Top - £3.00
eBay Velvet Leggings  (old0 - Similar here
Converse (old)

I forgot I had these leggings.  I bought them years and years ago.  I absolutely love them but with these particular ones - I imagine it's probably the same with all velvet leggings - you can't get away with buying the wrong size.  There's not a lot of stretch to them.  And they can wrinkle around the knees.  But I still love them!

I also thought I'd show you my new piercing!

Not normally one for piercings these days, I'm much more of a tattoo kinda gal but I fancied something different.   I have 3 piercings on each ear lobe which I've had for god knows how many years, but I've only recently started using the second hole again.  The third hole is still there but I don't wear anything in it.  I had my second piercing done when I was really, really young, I think about 9 or 10, and stopped wearing earrings in that hole at about 14.  Amazingly the hole is still there.  I also had my belly button pierced when I was 16 but I took the bar out when I fell pregnant with my first child a few years back and haven't bothered putting it back in since.  Plus, I'm not even sure they're  still "in" anymore. They always remind me of Britney Spears in her Baby One More Time video.

I did originally want my rook done but there wasn't enough room, which I suspected anyway, so I went for my conch on my left ear.  I was going to go for the right ear, just because I do have my helix pierced on that side, which I had done when I was about 16.  I haven't worn any form of jewellery in that piercing for years though but the hole is still there.  BUT then I was thinking about the pain after.  I generally sleep on my right hand side and boy am I glad I didn't get my right ear done!  I had this done about 3 weeks ago and it still really hurts to lay on it.  It hurts as much now as it did the day I got it.  I literally have to fold the pillow around my ear if I do want to lay on that side.  I looked online and some people have said it can be like this for up to a year!!!

Anyway, I'm not loving the bar that's in it at the moment as it's far too long and I want to get something prettier but I have to wait at least a month to six weeks (that's what the piercer told me).  There'd be no chance of me changing this at the moment anyway as it really does still hurt but as soon as it feels a little less sore, I think I'm going to look into changing to a smaller bar which hopefully might be a little more comfortable.

Pain-wise in relation to having the actual piercing done, hmmmm... it hurt but it's over in a flash.  First she clamps your ear, then she puts a needle through to pierce the ear which I think contains a tube. Something like that, I couldn't really see what she was doing.  That bit did really hurt but I think the worst bit was possibly when she was putting the bar in.  It was all over so quickly so, if you are thinking of getting it done, just remember that it is only a few seconds of pain.  It's the pain afterwards that's the worst part!  But I've decided that I'd actually quite like to get a triple forward helix piercing done.  They look amazingly pretty.  But I'm gonna wait this one out a bit.

So not a quick post by any means but that's an outfit of the day post, as well a piercing update.  Also, if you follow me on my YouTube Channel, you may have seen my latest video.  If you didn't, it's just an "About Me" tag video.  So if you want to know a little bit more about me, you can check it out here.
