New YouTube Video: Outfits of the weekend #OOTW

I was planning to do a haul video but I like to include clip of me wearing the items so it generally takes a long time to film and edit.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I've had a bit of a busy week with my son having an operation and now just trying to get him back to normal so I just did a quick outfits of the weekend post.  You can check out the video here.

It's only very short so if you have a couple of minutes, I'd love it if you checked it out!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  I've just been doing family things, nothing particularly exciting x

Outfit of the Day: Back to basics

Today is such a beautiful day.  It's so hot and not a cloud in the sky!  I need to be at the beach!

Primark Shorts, Belt & Necklace

This is pretty much the same outfit as I wore to the pub on Friday night, except that I' have shorts on rather than my floral trousers.

These are the kind of things I live in in this weather.  It's so easy just to throw on yet still looks effortlessly stylish!

Hope you are all having a good week.  I've had a pretty crappy one.  My soon-to-be 2 year old had to have an operation yesterday (nothing serious) so we were at the hospital for 10 friggin hours!  Then they didn't even give us the medication that he needed so I had to go back and collect that today!  Not a good week but at least the sun is shining (which was pretty irrelevant yesterday as I was at the hospital all day!) x

New YouTube video: The £20 Outfit Challenge - 3 outfits, all under £20!

I've seen a few of these videos doing the rounds on YouTube, mainly the $20 outfit challenge.  I saw Becca Rose do this video so I thought I'd also give it a go and you can check it out here.

It's not the hardest thing to do when you have a Primark nearby but not everything is from there.  So if you have 5 minutes to spare, go give it a watch :) xxx

Friday's Zara Outfit of the Night

Yesterday was a busy day.  I went to the hairdressers at 1pm and then straight into London for drinks after.  My hair looks so bright but it's fine cos I know that it'll tone down after a couple of washes.

I was meeting friends for drinks.  So many people blew out last minute so it only ended up being a few of us but we had the best night!  I just managed to get my last train and ended up getting home at about 1am.  That is seriously late for me these days!  God knows how I used to go out partying all night!  I'm definitely feeling a little worse for wear today but definitely not as bad as I thought considering how much wine we drank!!!

Zara crop vest top (similar here, just a different colour) - £5.99 (sale)
Zara floral trousers (from their last sale)
River Island Blazer (old)
Next sandals - £30.00

I just wore this as I didn't want to be too dressed up (which I never seem to do these days), plus we were only going for drinks at probably one of the cheapest pubs in London.  I got the crop vest from Zara.  I wasn't sure whether to get it or not as I do have other white crop vest tops but I'm so glad I did.  It was only £5.99 (I've linked it above but I can't find the white one).  The trousers I got from Zara's last sale and the shoes I got earlier this week.  I saw them on another blog and fell in love with them, although I definitely think there's a slight granny vibe to them.  Still love them though and they are really comfortable.

So that was last night's outfit post.  I'm desperate to go back to bed for an hour!  But I can't until my kids have their nap which isn't for another 2 hours *yawn*!

Have a great weekend! x

Outfit of the Day & New Conch Piercing

Had such a bad night's sleep last night.  Couldn't get to sleep, then I finally managed to go off but my son woke me up at 4am.  Then I had to be up early as I was meeting my friend and her little girl at the local softplay.  So feeling a little bit knackered and wanted something comfortable as well.  Trousers are a must at softplay anyway unless you want to risk flashing your underwear!

Primark Vest Top - £3.00
eBay Velvet Leggings  (old0 - Similar here
Converse (old)

I forgot I had these leggings.  I bought them years and years ago.  I absolutely love them but with these particular ones - I imagine it's probably the same with all velvet leggings - you can't get away with buying the wrong size.  There's not a lot of stretch to them.  And they can wrinkle around the knees.  But I still love them!

I also thought I'd show you my new piercing!

Not normally one for piercings these days, I'm much more of a tattoo kinda gal but I fancied something different.   I have 3 piercings on each ear lobe which I've had for god knows how many years, but I've only recently started using the second hole again.  The third hole is still there but I don't wear anything in it.  I had my second piercing done when I was really, really young, I think about 9 or 10, and stopped wearing earrings in that hole at about 14.  Amazingly the hole is still there.  I also had my belly button pierced when I was 16 but I took the bar out when I fell pregnant with my first child a few years back and haven't bothered putting it back in since.  Plus, I'm not even sure they're  still "in" anymore. They always remind me of Britney Spears in her Baby One More Time video.

I did originally want my rook done but there wasn't enough room, which I suspected anyway, so I went for my conch on my left ear.  I was going to go for the right ear, just because I do have my helix pierced on that side, which I had done when I was about 16.  I haven't worn any form of jewellery in that piercing for years though but the hole is still there.  BUT then I was thinking about the pain after.  I generally sleep on my right hand side and boy am I glad I didn't get my right ear done!  I had this done about 3 weeks ago and it still really hurts to lay on it.  It hurts as much now as it did the day I got it.  I literally have to fold the pillow around my ear if I do want to lay on that side.  I looked online and some people have said it can be like this for up to a year!!!

Anyway, I'm not loving the bar that's in it at the moment as it's far too long and I want to get something prettier but I have to wait at least a month to six weeks (that's what the piercer told me).  There'd be no chance of me changing this at the moment anyway as it really does still hurt but as soon as it feels a little less sore, I think I'm going to look into changing to a smaller bar which hopefully might be a little more comfortable.

Pain-wise in relation to having the actual piercing done, hmmmm... it hurt but it's over in a flash.  First she clamps your ear, then she puts a needle through to pierce the ear which I think contains a tube. Something like that, I couldn't really see what she was doing.  That bit did really hurt but I think the worst bit was possibly when she was putting the bar in.  It was all over so quickly so, if you are thinking of getting it done, just remember that it is only a few seconds of pain.  It's the pain afterwards that's the worst part!  But I've decided that I'd actually quite like to get a triple forward helix piercing done.  They look amazingly pretty.  But I'm gonna wait this one out a bit.

So not a quick post by any means but that's an outfit of the day post, as well a piercing update.  Also, if you follow me on my YouTube Channel, you may have seen my latest video.  If you didn't, it's just an "About Me" tag video.  So if you want to know a little bit more about me, you can check it out here.

Friday's Outfit of the Day: New Zara Trousers

This morning, I woke up in a bit of a daze.  I think I must have been having a nightmare and the noise of one of my boys waking up startled me and I just felt really odd and confused for a good half hour after waking up.  Weird.  Anyway, that's my justification for the bad hair day that is today!

Primark shoes

Wish I'd never bothered to find the link to those bloody Zara trousers.  I couldn't find them at first but then found them in their clearance section for £22.99 (I paid £29.99).  Not a huge difference but still annoying when I only bought them a couple of days ago goddammit!

Anyway, I'm not going to dwell on that because it's certainly not the first time it's happened.  But these trousers are lovely.  I love the colour and they fit me perfectly.  I got them in XS as the small came up really big. I can never work out their sizing, it's different every time I try something on!

These pics are also highlighting how much I need my roots doing so I think I'm now going to book a hairdressers appointment. Needs a cut as well but now I need to figure out if I have it short again or just a trim.  Decisions, decisions!

Hope you all have a fab weekend! x

Tuesday's Outfit of the Day: Floral Dress

I bought this dress from Primark on the weekend and I'm just amazed at how...well... amazing it is!

Primark Dress
Primark Sandals

This is the perfect dress for holidays or for those lovely hot summer days.  It's really lightweight and I love it.  It's the kind of thing I'd imagine seeing in Miss Selfridge for at least 3 times the price.  This dress was only £7!!!  What a bargain!  I had to go a couple of sizes up though as it was a little tight around the boob area - something I'm very familiar with!  I'd normally have gone for an 8 or 10 but went for a 12 and it still fits fine.  I also took it up slightly as it was just a bit too long on me.

The sandals are also from Primark.  They were only £6 and I actually thought when I bought them that they wouldn't last long at all but I've got so much wear out of them already and they're still going strong.  So all in all, a perfect Primark bargain outfit!
