Wednesday's Outfit of the Day: The White Shirt

I've been living in my denim cut-offs this week with the weather being so nice.

Primark Cut-Off Jeans
Primark Sandals
Necklace (gift)

I really do find that a white shirt is so effortless but still really stylish.  I love this one.  It's from the men's section at River Island and fits perfectly!

I was messing around with the settings on my camera which is why the lighting looks a little different in some pics.

Anyway, have a good Wednesday xx

Tuesday's Outfit of the Day: Topshop, Missguided & New Look #OOTD #WIWT

Today, I had to get ready in a mega rush - which is why I'm having a bit of a bad hair day with random bits sticking up (which you can see in one of the pics - I think).  But I had to rush my son down to the doctors today as he was having really bad breathing problems, had me up during the night and I really didn't sleep too well worrying about him!  Anyway, he's fine but just has a throat infection. It's probably the third time I've been to the doctors in the past month, even the doctor told me that they'd give me my own seat!  But I don't mind because that doctor is so good looking!  Anyway, enough about my crush on my doctor.  So I had to get to the doctors before 10am so I just threw this outfit on and I have to say, I really love it!

Missguided Top (old)

I am absolutely in love with this Topshop skirt.  It fits perfectly (apart from it does ride up and twist round a bit) and is amazing quality.  I was surprised at the price of this.  It was only about £34 which I think is such great value for such a beautiful skirt - I got mine from their petite range.  I am also loving these shoes from New Look.  Another bargain.  Only £9.99 and they are ridiculously comfortable.  I may have to invest in some other colours.  The top is from Missguided.  Not sure if they still do it but it's such a great piece.  It's a real summer basic.

I'm also working on another lookbook this week for my YouTube Channel.  I'm just trying to do a week in outfits so everything I wear this week should be going on to that video which I hope to have up by Sunday.

So I've had a bit of a hectic morning, doctors, chemist, shopping, now home and hoping my boys will sleep the afternoon away so I can enjoy the sunshine! x

Hope you all had a good weekend  I've had a weekend filled with BBQ's!!  I could definitely get used to that! xxx

Thursday's Outfit of the Day: Feeling Green #OOTD #WIWT

Yesterday, I went shopping (again - really must stop!) and I bought this dress from Miss Selfridge.  I loved it so much that I also bought the black one.

It is in this neon yellowy lime green colour which I am absolutely loving at the moment.

Miss Selfridge Dress - £20.00
Primark Sandals - £6.00

It's in that lycra kind of material, reminds me of 90's cycling shorts!

Anyway just a quick post of today's outfit.  Lots to do today x

A bit about me and a bit about why I started blogging

I thought I'd do a post about me and also why I started blogging.

So, a bit about me...

I have been married to my husband for 7 years and we have been together in total for 13.5 years.  We met when we were just a very young 19.  We got married in 2007 when we were both 25 and planned to start a family straight after.  We put that on hold as there were other things that we wanted to prioritise as we figured we still had plenty of time.  We didn't know it would take us over 3 years to have our first child.  No idea why he took so long but he came in the end.

So he took a while but Sam finally arrived in July 2012 and is one of the biggest loves of my life.  This is Sam.

We knew we wanted another child but didn't want to potentially have to wait another 3 years so we decided when Sam was just 6 months old that we would try for one month, just to see what happened.  Ethan happened and was born on Halloween 2013.  This is Ethan, the other biggest love of my life (as well as my husband obviously!):

They are both amazing boys and I love every second with them.

I'm currently a stay-at-home mum but will be going back to work at some point later this year or the beginning of next.  While the thought of going back to work is a little scary, and I know I will miss my boys so much (I haven't had a single night apart from either of them since they were born), I'm also looking forward to getting a little bit of me back, not me the mummy, but just me.

Being a mum is hard work, I feel like my life is a sea of washing, ironing and odd socks, but I do love it.  But I've always worked and I think that's been a hard transition for me.  I have worked since I was 16 and have been at stay at home mum since Sam was born.  The things I miss most about working are silly things like that Friday feeling (although my husband always reminds me that I don't get that Monday feeling either!).  I also miss the atmosphere of London and just being around other adults.  Obviously being a mum, the majority of my time is spent doing things with the kids.

And why I started blogging...

I was pretty new to the blogger thing.  I actually didn't really know much about it until I "liked" Missguided's facebook page and I'd see these posts they'd do about particular bloggers.  From there, I became really interested.  I was on maternity leave after having my first child and, when he'd be having his nap, I'd read people's blogs.  I've always been obsessed fashion but it's only been recently that I feel I've really found my style.  Becoming a mum I think was a big part of this.  I was determined not to become a mum who lives in tracksuits and doesn't make an effort anymore.  Yes,  having kids does take up most of my time but it doesn't take up all of my time.

The reason I started blogging was because I really like my style, my mum tells me I look different every day, my friends ask me if I ever do any washing as they never see me in the same thing twice and I figure if I like my style, then someone else will.  I also really enjoy doing it, whether people follow me or not.  If it doesn't work out, it doesn't but it's not the be all and end all for me.  I enjoy my life and I enjoy blogging.

I'm really not even sure how many people read my blog but I really enjoy doing it and, while I have the time, I think I'll stick with it xxx

Monday's Outfit of the Day + YouTube Fashion Haul: The perfect outfit for those in-between days #OOTD

Today is definitely what I call one of those in between days where you just don't know what to wear.  It's warm but not sunny, so not hot.  But this playsuit is what I consider to be perfect for this kind of weather.

Topshop Necklace £12.00
Primark Sandals - £6.00

Now as much as I love this playsuit, two things I don't like.  The price.  I think it's ridiculously expensive for what it is at £45.00.  But Motel did have an offer on the other week so I managed to get 20% off.  I have been eyeing this up for a long while but just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it but 20% off made it a little more appealing.  The second thing I hate about it is how much it creases!  The pictures actually make it look worse than it is but it's like linen trousers, only looks nice when you just put it on.  Once you sit down, that's all out the window and you're a screwed up mess!

But I'm willing to put up with the creases because I do love it.  It's in a really lovely lightweight cotton with an exposed zip at the back.  And as I said above, it's perfect for days like today.

I also did a huge haul over on my YouTube channel which you can check out here.  It also includes clips of me wearing each item x
